The Cerebral Palsy League is a non-profit organization providing high quality programs and services for persons with developmental disabilities throughout Union , Essex and Middlesex counties.

Our talented and caring staff provides a wide array of, educational, therapeutic, nursing and social services for infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

The Cerebral Palsy League professionals are committed to providing expert training and care to individuals with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities as well as helping families manage some of the difficulties they may face on a day to day basis.

Comprehensive, coordinated care is provided for children and adults with multiple disabilities who may also have complex nursing needs.

Kaleidoscope Early Intervention

  • The Cerebral Palsy League’s Kaleidoscope Early Intervention Team works diligently to address the very special challenges of parents who have discovered that their child has a special need that may affect his/her development. The Team supports, encourages, and teaches parents and family members the strategies and skills they need to address these as early in life as possible.
  • The Kaleidoscope Early Intervention staff are child development specialists who also have expertise in a specialized field such as special education, nursing, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy.
  • Each service is individualized to meet the needs of the child as well as the family. Family participation in the Kaleidoscope Early Intervention Program helps a family better understand how they can enhance their child’s development and provide the best foundation for future success.
  • Family Link Regional Early Intervention Collaborative administers the early intervention system in Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union and Warren counties. Referrals for early intervention services are made through this office. Kaleidoscope staff work cooperatively with the collaborative to ensure all families receive the services they need

Come, Play and Learn Early Childhood Learning Center

  • The mission of Come Play and Learn is to provide an inclusive early childhood program that welcomes all children regardless of race, creed, or disability and that, meets the individual needs of each child and family in a safe, licensed, educational environment with caring, nurturing, professional staff.
  • Daycare and Early Childhood Education
    • For children 3 months to 5 years old.
    • During the hours of 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
    • Flexible scheduling is available Monday thru Friday.
    • Hot lunch is available (additional fee).
    • Teachers are licensed and CPR certified.
  • Our Infant Program provides a caring, nurturing environment where your baby can grow from a bundle of joy to a bundle of curiosity. At our Center each baby receives individualized attention and personal, loving care.
  • Our Toddler Program uses hands-on exploration to help your child learn about his/her expanding world. Toddlers enjoy learning activities that foster independence and build self-confidence.
  • The CreativeCurriculum ® for Preschoolers encourages children to broaden their interests through self discovery. Teacher-directed activities in language, reading, and math readiness skills prepare each child to enter Kindergarten ready to succeed.

The Jardine Academy (Ages 3-21)

  • The Jardine Academy is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and is proud to maintain Middle States Accreditation. The Academy provides a comprehensive Educational Program designed to meet the cognitive and physical needs of children who have multiple disabilities - needs that may not be fully met within the local school system.
  • The Cerebral Palsy League operates a new, state-of-the-art facility in Cranford for students aged 3-21. Curriculums are functional, age-appropriate and address New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards.
  • A student-centered essential skills curriculum is responsive to the academic and functional needs of each student. Instruction addresses Student Self Care, Health and Fitness, Interpersonal Skills, Mobility and Functional Academics. Support Services are designed to enable or enhance the student’s ability to participate in all educational opportunities. Services may include Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Social Work.
  • The Academy is proud to provide a Faculty and Support Staff who are certified to provide mobility instruction utilizing the Mobility Options Via Education (M.O.V.E) Curriculum. This proven successful method of teaching physically challenges students to “sit, stand and walk,” and is an essential component of the total curriculum.

    • The CPL Your Caring Presence team is comprised of carefully screened and highly qualified individuals. Each Care Specialist must complete the CPL Pre-service Training Program to assure that you and your family are provided with the best possible level of care. CPL has been providing quality care to persons with disabilities for more than 60 years. In choosing Your Caring Presence you can be confident that you will have the expertise and reliability your family deserves.
