The City of Elizabeth’s Recreation Department proudly represents the largest city in Union County working daily to better our community.

The Recreation Department has remained dedicated to improving and enhancing a variety of innovative programs and special events for all Elizabeth residents. The Recreation Department offers programs for seniors, adults, and children. 

Our community can enjoy parks, playgrounds, five recreation centers, spray parks, and a seasonal pool. We also offer summer and part-time employment opportunities.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of Elizabeth residents with an emphasis on diversity, family, education, recreation, along with health and wellness. The Department of Recreation maintains:
