Family Promise Union County (FPUC)

Family Promise of Union County partners with families and individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, helping them get back on their feet and attain sustainable independence. We are part of a national network of more than 200 Family Promise Affiliates helping thousands of children and families in need by providing shelter, meals, emergency services, prevention and diversion, transitional and permanent housing, and targeted case management. With the help of our congregations, community support and hundreds of volunteers, our families will build futures full of hope and possibility.

Due to the pandemic, in 2020, we changed the way we provide emergency shelter. We transitioned from a congregate shelter setting to scattered site Temporary Emergency Shelter Apartments, and/or partner with local hotels. We have a committed network work of Union Couty landlords who partner with us to provide this essential service to the community.

We also provide services to at-risk households, with prevention and diversion programs, to assist families with back rent and/or relocation with friends or family.

We continue have an extensive community partnership with Union County congregations, which provide assistance for food, transportation and other support for families, to include over 1,000 volunteers.

We advocate for families and individuals to ensure that fair, safe and affordable housing is available to all who live in Union County.
