Our mission at Life Options Counseling Services LLC is to help improve the quality of life for individuals and families by addressing and treating the disease of substance use, addiction and mental health. To this extent, we provide evidence-based practices and use a compilation of goal centered and client specific therapeutic interventions. Our early intervention and outpatient treatment services motivates and engages clients to become active participants in their treatment, in an effort to reduce the growing epidemic of substance use, addiction, and mental health disease.

Services

• Early Intervention Services: Designed to explore and address problems or risk factors that appear to be related to substance use, and/or to assist individuals in recognizing the harmful consequences or inappropriate substance use.
• Outpatient Treatment: is intended to help clients who meet criteria for a disorder which addresses major lifestyle, attitudinal, and behavioral issues that have the potential to undermine the goals of treatment or inhibit the individual's ability to cope with major life tasks without the non-medical use of alcohol or other drugs.
• Psycho-education: Didactic sessions or Family education and information sessions as clinically indicated.
• Mental Health & Substance Abuse Evaluations and Assessments:  performed by Licensed Clinicians.  
• Referrals are provided at no charge.
• Professional Presentations and Workshops: We offer a variety of professional workshops and presentations that are exclusive to your agency's unique structural needs. For a list of the presentations we offer, or to develop a specific presentation/workshop please feel free to contact us to set up a consultation.
• Toxicology & Lab Services: We provide toxicology and testing to all clients via our laboratory services. These services are provided in conjunction with treatment and or evaluation and require an additional fee. 
•  Spanish Services are offered by request.

Special Programs

• Anger Management at LOCS- The Preferred Choice
  Our services are highly sought due to the quality of our curriculum and program standards. Our Anger Management Services are designed with the needs of the consumer in mind. We offer Anger Management Classes that will provide the consumer with the tools needed in order to control their emotions effectively. The skills learned in our classes will assist in identifying the trigger behaviors and teaching applicable skills used to manage high risk situations that may lead to further occurrences. All clients are screened at intake to determine if our education class is suitable for your needs. The group class session is highly recommended. However, individual sessions are available upon request
• Specialized Services For Women - H2H (Heart-to-Heart) Women's Recovery Program
  Our women's recovery services are unique to the needs of women. We use an eclectic choice of evidenced based therapies that address the specific issues women experience when involved in the process of recovery. This warm setting educates and empowers women to take control of their problems of addiction and abuse alongside a strong support network to help them along the way. • L.I.V.S. (For Adolescents) - Learning Information Vital To Success
  This group is held on our Scotch Plains Campus during the Saturday Program. For more information, please contact us.
