If you are navigating stress, anxiety, or trauma, you're in the right place. As a practicing psychotherapist for nearly 30 years, I have found that the key to healing is a safe, non-judgmental space where you can show up authentically. In our work together, we might scream, curse, cry, and laugh, but most importantly, we're going to heal.
I often say that, in our sessions, I am a GPS, but you're the one driving the car. I know that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to support and facilitate, helping you own and recognize your strengths and embody your most empowered self.
My journey into becoming a psychotherapist began early. Throughout my childhood and adolescence, I was given the opportunity to experience individual, family, and group therapy. For me, therapy was a safe place to tell my story, and I knew that one day I wanted to provide that for others, too.
My approach is holistic and human. From a clinical standpoint, I utilize aspects of several modalities, including but not limited to: Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Systematic Desensitization, Insight-Oriented Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Being trained in the generalist perspective, I learned early on that life does not exist in a vacuum. Our work together looks beyond the psychological at the whole picture - your life at work, at home, and beyond
