We are a Salvation Army church and community center committed to "Growing Together."  We are sincere people who seek to live out that goal by saving souls, strengthening saints and serving suffering humanity in Bayway, Elizabeth, Linden and Winfield.

Seasonal Programs

Summer Day Camp
Program highlights include arts & crafts, bible lessons, field trips, weekly pool visits, weekly park visits and group games. Scholarships for Summer Day Camp/Camp Tecumseh available to families in need. Donors needed to provide Campership Scholarships.

Back-To-School
Program consists of a sing-a-long time, children's devotional thought,    distribution of backpacks and school supplies, followed by a time of refreshments

Sunday Afternoon Picnics
First Sunday of every summer month (July and August) following 11:00 am Worship. Bring your lunch and have some fun and fellowship!

Angel Tree Program
Christmas program for children in need ("angels") in which you can adopt a child by purchasing them a new Christmas toy and/or clothing. Both individuals and companies can adopt "angels".

Red Kettle Effort
Major Fundraising event of the year in which local retailers allow us to raise funds by placing manned red kettles at various locations. We always need volunteers for this program!

Social Services

Emergency Shelter
For men and women; open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Call 908-352-2886. 

Soup Kitchen
Lunch served 12-2pm, Monday thru Friday during the last two weeks of each month.  Volunteers appreciated.

Food Pantry
Help with groceries by appointment. Volunteers appreciated.

Referrals & Advocacy
Will be made on a client's behalf in an effort to procure services that The Salvation Army does not provide.

Emergency Furniture Vouchers
When possible, vouchers to The Salvation Army Thrift Store will be provided for purchase of quality pre-owned furniture such as beds, dressers and sofas.
