About UCHH-365:

24/7, 365 days a year, our hotline is staffed by peer recovery specialists (PRS), which are individuals who have lived experience of addiction recovery and have completed specialized training in how to purposefully and appropriately leverage that experience to assist individuals with substance use disorders. For up to 6 months, our PRS can assist participants in their journey to long-term recovery and wellbeing.

Family Members & Loved Ones

Family Members & Loved Ones

It can be difficult to cope while caring for somebody who has a substance use disorder. If that’s you, you’re not alone. Family members and loved ones are encouraged to call the hotline in order to find support for both themselves and their loved one with a substance use disorder. We can help connect you with support for the whole family, and provide you with resources on addiction treatment.

In an effort to combat the substance use crisis and reduce overdose deaths, the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, in collaboration with Prevention Links and other community partners, offer Union County Helping Hands 365 free of charge to the community. UCHH 365 is based on “Operation Helping Hand” which is a model where law enforcement officers and emergency service personnel play an active role in connecting individuals suffering from opioid addiction with vital treatment, recovery and/or support services.

This service is provided by the community non-profit Prevention Links

Eligibility Must be 18 years or older living in Union County. May be a person struggling with substance use or a family member/loved one of somebody struggling with substance use.
